Bitcoin Crosses $100,000 After Trump Appoints Paul Atkins as SEC Chair

Bitcoin reached its all-time high of $99,588, reaching 100K-mark on Thursday. The surge in the crypto can be attributed to administration rejig wherein President-elect Donald Trump nominated Paul Atkins as the Chairman of Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC).

The decision bodes well for the crypto market, as Atkins is believed to be pro-crypto. Soon after the new appointment, Bitcoin soared by 2.8% on Wednesday. Relative Strength Index (RSI) on the daily chart stand at 72, which is higher than the overbought level of 70

As of now, Bitcoin is expected to touch $113,000, analysts claimed.
